Amy DeVore
Founder, Independent Educational Consultant
​
Amy brings over 15 years of experience working with high school students, combining deep compassion with strategic college guidance. She began her career as a social worker, supporting teens and families through some of life’s most important transitions. After the COVID-19 pandemic, Amy followed her passion for education and student development by shifting into college counseling—where she found her calling in helping students uncover their strengths and chart a path toward a bright future.

Amy holds a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and completed the UCLA College Counseling Certification Program in 2024. Her background gives her a unique lens into the emotional and developmental needs of teenagers, allowing her to connect meaningfully with students and help them grow into the best versions of themselves. As the founder of Compass Educational Consulting, Amy combines empathy, insight, and expert knowledge of the admissions process to guide each student with care.

When she’s not working with students, Amy is raising three children with her husband and staying active outdoors—whether enjoying family adventures, cycling, playing paddle, or spending time at the lake.
